We come to you today with a story of resilience, courage, and the “let’s celebrate” spirit of Nonie Rueda. Life took an unexpected turn when he faced a sudden and serious stroke. Now, we stand united to rebuild hope and support Nonie – our beloved family member, friend, and colleague – on his long journey to recovery.
On January 14, 2024, Nonie sustained a stroke from a heart infection. Due to this, he underwent major heart surgery- a mitral valve replacement. As of this date, he’s still in ICU being attended to by numerous specialists- cardiovascular surgeon, infectious disease, cardiologist, neurologist, and internal medicine.
Imagine waking up one day to a world that feels unfamiliar, navigating through the challenges of relearning the simplest of tasks that we often take for granted. This is now the reality for Nonie and his family – wife Venus, and children Stephen and Krista, and Samantha. Medical bills, rehabilitation costs, and ongoing therapy sessions are mounting, creating a financial strain that no one should face alone. This is where we come in – together, we can make a significant impact on Nonie’s recovery and help him reclaim the life he once knew and enjoyed.
Nonie has always been there for others, offering kindness and support, and forever willing to lend a hand for any occasion. We have witnessed and enjoyed his impressive talent for party planning, complete with over-the-top décor, games, and food. We always looked forward to sitting near Nonie at any party because you were guaranteed a fun time!
Now, it is our turn to rally around him and show the same compassion and care he bestowed upon so many. By contributing to this GoFundMe campaign, you are not just providing financial relief; you are becoming an integral part of Nonie’s journey toward a brighter and healthier future. Every donation, no matter the size, will be most appreciated and will help pave the way for Nonie’s recovery.
Please share this campaign with friends, family, and colleagues so we can create a network of support that extends far and wide.
