Be An Everyday Hero

I'm reaching out to you on behalf of a very dear friend with cerebal palsy, Nona Garlick.  I have known Nona for over 20 years and she is kindness and generosity incarnate.  Nona has fought long and hard to keep her independence, despite a body that often makes that difficult.  Many years ago, she gave up her Social Security because she wanted to work and support herself as long as she could.  Nona continues to work, but her body will no longer tolerate the long hours needed to be full time.  She has applied for Social Security in order to supplement her income but unfortunately her request is bogged down in bureauacracy, and it may take 6 months (or longer) to recieve much deserved assistance.  In order to continue to live on her own, Nona needs some heroes.  Although she works very hard to stay within a tight budget, it has become increasingly difficult for Nona to pay for rent and food.   Her savings is all but gone.  Please pray for her and if you can find it in your heart, and are able to, please consider helping this strong woman who meets the challenges life throws her way head on.    If we work together, we can help her find peace of mind from the day-to-day worry of simple survival.
