NOMAD VAN FUND UPDATE #1 — JULY 31
$4000. We don't even know what to say. Thank you to all 65 of you that decided to make this van and this tour a reality for us. We booked this whole tour, not knowing how or if we were going to get a van. All we had was the smallest amount of faith that God would provide. WON'T HE FREAKING DO IT. We are overwhelmed by all the love, prayers, encouragement, and support we have received over the years, but especially during this season of our lives. We can't believe this is actually happening!!! We love all of you so much. We could not be here and we could not do this without you! Thank you for supporting us every step of the way.
We've got big news!
WE FOUND OUR TOUR VAN!!! It's a 2003 Toyota Sienna, it's got 80,000 miles on it, it's right within our fundraising goal at $5900, and it drives like a champ. We found it on Craigslist through a guy named Carlos, and after we told him our story and that we were fundraising to go on tour, by the grace of God, he was willing to take a $500 deposit, take the van off the market, and collect the remaining balance by August 11. Gofundme takes up to five business days to process donations, so we need to raise all the funds by this Sunday, August 6. That means we have 7 days to raise $2000 — WE CAN DO IT!

This is our band's tourmobile. Greg has owned this 1994 Toyota Camry since he was in college, and this car has been a total lifesaver for the band over the past 2+ years. He got us through our big move across the country, from California to New York. He got us through 2,500 miles of driving on our recent tour to the Northeast. Our little car has been so reliable over the years -- he's gotten us to and from every show we've ever played and we love him. But he has finally kicked the bucket, and it's time to get a new tour van.
We're really excited to announce that we're going on a Small But Fortunate National Tour this summer! Greg and I will be hitting the road for two months, sharing our EP and some new songs with people all across the country — and we can't wait!!! Here are our tour dates so far:

August 17 — Washington, DC @ Sofar DC
August 18-19 — Philadelphia PA @ Philadelphia Folk Festival
August 20 — Norfolk, VA @ Sofar Norfolk
August 22 — Raleigh, NC @ House Show
August 23 — Charlotte, NC @ Sofar Charlotte
August 26 — Nashville, TN @ Sofar Nashville
August 29 — New Orleans, LA @ Sofar New Orleans
September 1 — San Antonio, TX @ Sofar San Antonio
September 2 — Dallas, TX @ Sofar Dallas
September 9 — San Francisco, CA @ Sofar San Francisco

One problem: we still don't have a tour van.
We are currently raising $6,000 for a new tour van, and we are asking for YOUR support!
We need a new tour van to make this cross-country tour happen this summer. We've looked on Craigslist and Carmax, and we know we can find a solid, tour-ready minivan for that price. And with this tour van, we plan to do just that: TOUR -- A LOT.
We ask that you donate whatever you can to the Heartland Nomads' Tour Van Fund today. Your contribution will directly go toward: helping us make an impact on people across the country with our music, tour for years to come, and you will ultimately make our 2017 National Small But Fortunate Tour possible.
