Nolan's Journey

On August 24, two-month-old Nolan Guerra was rushed to the hospital after struggling to breathe. After a series of tests, his parents, Nelson and Rebekah Guerra, were given life-altering news: Nolan has a rare heart condition caused by a genetic mutation that affects how his heart develops and functions.

Since beginning his treatment, Nolan has faced days in critical condition, numerous tests and specialist evaluations, and even a helicopter transfer from Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, where he continues to receive the care he needs.

We are grateful to God that Nolan has shown slow but steady progress towards stability. However, he still faces a long road ahead—and will need to remain hospitalized to continue receiving critical care.

Meanwhile, Nelson and Rebekah are carrying overwhelming burdens: mounting medical bills, loss of income, and the challenge of keeping their household afloat while staying by Nolan’s side.
