Hello, my name is Nathan Ting, and I am fundraising for my dear friend Nolan Young, who has recently been diagnosed with Leukemia in February this year. For the past two months, Nolan has been undergoing chemo treatments almost daily, blood transfusions every other week, spinal chemo, and pegaspargase. He will be hospitalized for chemo in the upcoming months. This next round of chemo will entail methatrexine.

I have known Nolan since I was 11, and he has been present at every moment in my life since.

It is well known to those who know Nolan that he is an undoubtedly generous, gracious and empathetic person in all facets of his life. Nolan had personally carried me through rough times in my own life, being there at every twist and turn when I needed him most, and I have no doubt he would do so again in an instant. Though it pains me that I cannot share the weight of his burden as he has many times with my own, we can directly support Nolan.

Though Nolan is one tough cookie, cancer treatment is not for the faint of heart. The colossal cost of Nolan's treatments is undoubtedly an added stressor to this process. My purpose in creating this page is that those who have had the privilege of knowing Nolan can come together to help lighten the financial burden off of him. Economies of scale, a little bit from everyone can create a huge difference and help Nolan kick this rapscallion and get back to college and entirely focused on the bright future he has ahead of him.
