Nolan Lewis Ostgard Memorial Bursary
There are no words to describe the heartbreak our families are going through as we try to come to terms with the tragic loss of Nolan Lewis Ostgard – beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend.
We have heard from so many people who would like to help in some way but are at a loss of what to do. On behalf of Cathy and Darrell, we have set up this page for those who would like to contribute to a bursary we have created in Nolan's name at G.P. Vanier high school.
Everyone who knew and loved Nolan knew that music and playing the guitar were his passions. This bursary will ensure that Nolan’s love for music can be shared with other local students pursuing a future in the music field—as Nolan had planned to do—in the years to come.
A memorial service for Nolan will take place Wednesday, January 18 at 2pm at the Florence Filberg Centre in Courtenay. In lieu of flowers we ask that you support Nolan's passion for music, so that his voice—which will be heard forever in our hearts—will bring hope and promise to others as well. Thank you all for your love and support.
"And in the end, the love you take, is equal to the love you make." ~ The Beatles
