Noho MMA

To all NoHo MMA members, Sensei Steve made it known this weekend that the space we have been using at Professor Dartanian’s will not be ours for much longer. This does not mean that NoHo MMA is no more. It simply means that it is time for us to move on. Steve has found a new space very close to Dartanian’s that he would like to make our new home. However, we need to contribute as a team to make this happen. We all know that NoHo MMA is more than a gym to us; it is a place of growth, support, and comradery. We drink from the cup of Steve’s knowledge every day and all of us are enriched by it. And we have grown close. The composition of our team now is stronger and closer than it has ever been. Steve has said, quite humbly, that our gym does not belong to him, it belongs to all of us. This is an honor and a responsibility. He has told us in the spirit of transparency and trust that he needs help securing the deposit and the lease for the new space. Now is our opportunity to help ensure the future of the gym. Rough estimates are near four thousand dollars for what we’ll need to secure the space and prepare it for training. If we all contribute we can make this happen. We can have our own gym instead of renting a space in someone else’s. This is a request for a contribution; to the gym, to the future of our training, and to each other. NoHo MMA is family.
