Catastrophic truck repair with no help by FORD active recall

My name is T, and I can’t believe I’m even here. We have NEVER asked for help we are usually the ones helping others. We are a family of 5, and 2 out of the 3 kids show animals through 4H & FFA. We have our own 4H club in our county & help countless families all year long. At the beginning of this year, we finally decided to trade in both vehicles for a 2020 F250. Our truck just couldn’t handle the towing we needed, and we were only going to be adding more. Our truck is our only form of transportation for our family but also for our working farm. Not only do our kids rely on us to tow their animals, but multiple other families do as well.
Fast forward to the week of Friday the 13th, driving home & our truck goes into limp mode going 83 MPH on our interstate. After we make some calls to get kids picked up and home safely & a tow truck, we were told exactly what we were afraid of… catastrophic failure due to a CP4 pump. Due to the CP4 pump failing. On June 24th , we were told due to the extent of the CP4 Failing we also need a new motor. TOTAL BILL $30,000. We were NOT given any notice of a recall by Ford or our insurance company. The shop fixing our truck is now doing it with no labor costs, they are not making any money off of this terrible issue.
Ford’s only offer was to have it retowed to a Ford dealership for them to look at it and then make a note. There is no resolution at this time for this issue, and there are trucks that have been sitting for months waiting for a fix. We made the decision to not go with them & stick with our diesel mechanic because of this. At no time will we receive any help from Ford for ANY costs, even though it’s an active recall.
We prepaid for family vacations that are not refundable, 1 child needs double eye surgery in July, and we just have to go through the motions so our kids don’t notice the stress.
Again, we have literally never asked for help from anyone. We have always figured things out ourselves. We have gone through so much and kept it to ourselves, but unfortunately, I am not able to do that this time around.
Any help would beyond greatly appreciated, sadly trading it or selling it is not an option that is available.
