I have set up this account to assist an amazing group of boys! Help support these amazing kids fulfill their dream to compete at HHI world finals in Phoenix, Arizona in August 2018.
NoFlex have evolved as a crew over the past 5 years. They originally met through dance classes and participation in school spectacular. Most of these boys have been dancing performing and busking together for several years now with the latest member invited to join this year.
This year for the first time they entered the prestigious HipHopInternational competition. Although 5 of them are aged to compete in the varsity division, 2 members are over 18 making them ineligible for varsity. Rather than compete separately, (Or not compete) they made the decision to compete up in the adult division to keep their group together and experience this together. After qualifying at both regional and national level their next step will be to be to represent Australia at the worlds and compete for a spot in the finals.
It has not been an easy journey so far, the boys come from a diverse range of backgrounds but are bonded together through a love of dance and a friendship stronger than brotherhood. Some have not long left school and are working casual and part time jobs, others are still balancing school and dance. Not all can afford to attend classes or a studio so they make the most of public spaces including local parks, carparks and anywhere where large windows can act as mirrors. They supported each other financially to ensure they could all attend the qualifying competitions giving what little they had to the members with less. As such we are supporting them to fundraise to enable ALL of them the opportunity to get to USA and proudly represent Australia.
Their quirky and fun personalities and friendship bond shine through their performances. Crowd pleasers wherever they perform! They will be doing multiple fundraising over the next few months and they plan to continue to busk in Sydney CBD, run sausage sizzles, put on shows and whatever else it takes to get them there.
We are fundraising for airfares for all 7 to get to Arizona, accommodation, competition registrations, costumes and workshop fees so they have opportunities to develop further their passions and talents
