Big Iron Outdoors is proposing to build an outdoor firing range within 1/2 mile of approx 150 homes, churches and a major school bus stop.
We want them to find a better location due to the impact it would have on our quality of life, noise, traffic, lead contamination, safety, property values and disruption to what is currently a quiet, rural community.
Money raised is to be used for legal fees, expert consultancy costs and the public awareness campaign. If any money remains after the decision on location is made, it will be donated to UVA Childrens Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia.
