Noemi, 36, is an incredible young mother and wife to Logan, 9, and Victor, 37, respectively. Noemi is kind to everyone and always goes out of her way to make you feel loved. On June 1st, 2018 doctors discovered that she has cancer throughout her body. It consists of renal cancer, a large tumor on her left kidney which has already spread into her inferior vena cava and has the serious potential of growing even further up and closer to her heart. Imaging also showed that there were already multiple legions spread in her liver and lungs.

The overall prognosis is not good due to complexity, size, and shape of the tumors but since she still has so much to live for, they are determined to fight! On June 22nd, Noemi underwent a risky surgery to remove the large tumor on her kidney. With a 11-day hospital stay Noemi has been at home for 2 weeks now and is happy with her two favorite nurses, her husband Victor, and her Mom, Lupe. She will now start rigorous chemotherapy and other oncology treatments to treat the spreading.

Since Day 1 of Noemi’s incapacitation, she had to stop working and also Victor so he could help her with even the most basic daily activities. Lupe has also taken time off to help with Noemi’s care, however her time off is limited and she will need to return to work soon. Other family, friends, and church members are helping with food and time with her son, Logan, but their most urgent need is financial. Noemi and Victor are hard workers and have responsibly saved for emergencies, but cancer treatment is something that no one can adequately prepare for! They are using what they have for paying for medications, visit co-pays, imaging, procedures, etc., but these savings will be depleted soon.
The family is only at the beginning of this journey and are still not sure how much longer is expected for the surgery recovery to take, as well as the oncology treatments that will begin very soon. We are asking, on behalf of this incredible family, any financial support which will allow this family to stay afloat while they battle this!
