My sister Noemi recently suffered a hemorrhagic stroke. After weeks in the hospital and intensive care, she is now beginning the long road to recovery. My sister Noemi is 42 years old, a loving mother to four beautiful children, and a great aunt to my daughter. She is also a great wife, daughter, and sister. My family and I are doing everything we can to help her heal and regain her independence.

She will soon be discharged from acute rehab, but her journey is far from over. Noemi will need extensive outpatient therapy, mobility equipment, and ongoing care — all of which come with significant costs.
