My mom's brain cancer story

Mi nombre es Mizuky Delgado, soy la hija mayor de Noemi Delgado. En la mañana del 29 de Diciembre de 2022 mi mamá se desmayó en casa y mi padre la encontró inconsciente. Ese mismo día la llevamos a emergencias. 4 horas después de estar en emergencias nos dieron noticias que nadie esperábamos; Mi mamá tenia liquido en la cabeza y un tumor de 3.6cm en medio del cerebro. Después de una cirugía (para sacar el liquido del cerebro) de emergencia tuvo otra cirugía dias después (de 11 horas) para remover el tumor. Desafortunadamente solo se pudo retirar 80% del tumor. Hoy (Marzo) dos meses después el tumor volvió a crecer. Su diagnostico resulto ser un tumor maligno; Glioblastoma Multiforme etapa IV. Hace unos días el neurocirujano nos hizo saber que el tumor esta creciendo tan rápido que no se puede hacer nada por mi mamá, mas que darle calidad de vida (Hospice). Mi mamá solo tiene 44 años y este es un giro en su vida que nadie esperaba, ni ella ni ninguno de sus hijos. Mi mamá tiene seis hijos la menor de nosotros solo tiene 12 años. Esto fue algo muy impactante para toda la familia ya que ella siempre ha sido una persona muy sana, trabajadora, alegre, ama viajar y siempre estaba para todas las personas, nunca le peso a hacer nada por los demás, ella siempre ayudaba a todos sin recibir nada a cambio. Siempre ha sido buena mamá, lo mas que ella ama son sus hijos, sus nietos, su esposo, su familia y amigos. El dinero que estamos pidiendo es para poder darle la despedida que sentimos que se merece, queremos poder hacerle su funeral en Mexico ya que hay muchas personas que les gustaría poder despedirla. Lo que sea que gustan donar seria de gran ayuda. Muchas gracias por preocuparse por mi mamá, si ella estuviera al tanto de todo lo que se esta haciendo por ella estoy segura que estaría muy feliz y agradecida de ver tanto apoyo.

My name is Mizuky Delgado, I’m the oldest daughter of Noemi Delgado. On the morning of December 29. 2022 my mom passed out at home and my father found her unconscious. That same day we took her to the emergency room. 4 hours after being in the emergency room, the doctors gave us news that no one expected; My mom had fluid in her head and a 3.6cm tumor in the middle of her brain. After emergency surgery (to remove the fluid from the brain) she had another surgery days later (a surgery that lasted 11 hours) to remove the tumor. Unfortunately, only 80% of the tumor could be removed. Today (March) two months later the tumor grew again. Her diagnosis turned out to be a malignant tumor; Glioblastoma Multiforme stage IV. A few days ago the neurosurgeon let us know that the tumor is growing so fast that nothing can be done for my mom, except to give her quality of life (Hospice). My mom is only 44 years old and this is a turn in her life that no one expected, Neither mom nor any of her children. My mother has six children, the youngest of us is only 12 years old. This was something very impressive for the whole family since she has always been a very healthy, hard-working, happy person, loves to travel and was always there for everyone, my mother always helped many people without expecting anything in return. She has always been a good mom, the things she loves the most are her children, her grandchildren, her husband, her family and her friends. The money we are asking for is to be able to give her the farewell that we feel she deserves, we want to be able to have her funeral in Mexico since many people would like to be able to say goodbye to her.
