I'm Noelle

I'm a 26 year old trans person currently living in suburban DC in an unhealthy environment. After losing my job in November and having little success in finding sustainable work, I moved back in to my father's house at the end of April.

Unfortunately, over the course of my transition I've come to recognize my CPTSD, its origins, and what triggers it. I've reached a point where the environment itself is a constant reminder of the neglect and abuse I felt throughout my childhood and adolescence. It's stifling, it's unending, and the primary sources show no interest in addressing it.

I'm at the end of my rope. Emotionally. Financially. I cannot continue to live here and recover.

My current plan is to leave here at the end of June. My 27th birthday is the 30th of June. The poetic alignment is noted. I will drive from here to Portland, Oregon over the course of a week or two, depending on whether it's a solo expedition or I have another person along for the journey.

In Portland, I have family that are willing to take me in for some amount of time, but not permanently. That's not what I want anyways. I want control of my life for the first time, and staying with them is ultimately not the end I'm striving for. I have a strong resume, I just need to go somewhere that will have me.

What I don't have is funds. I'm trying to hobble together some on my own but I'm not holding out hope that it'll be enough to sustain me while I make this move.
