Anyone who knows Noel, knows that she’s tough. Like really tough (the last thing you’d ever want is to have her put you in a headlock). But I’m not just talking about her physical strength. It takes serious willpower, courage and positivity to deal with the hand that she’s been dealt – and I think we can all agree, that is TOUGH. Especially in 2020.
Noel has survived 10 heart attacks, a quadruple bypass and several different chemotherapies over the last 5 years. Now she’s facing a new challenge: a bone marrow transplant.
She has a very rare condition that creates aneurysms throughout her arteries. She currently has aneurysms in the arteries of her brain, heart, liver and extremities. Health experts have never seen anything like it. She’s been on experimental medication for the past 5 years to no avail, and this transplant is really the last resort. The hope is that by replacing her immune system through BMT, the aneurysms will stop growing and forming.

Fortunately she has great health insurance - which is HUGE. But, she hasn’t worked since March, and due to her compromised immune system, she will not be able to work for at LEAST another year (apparently chemo treatment and COVID don’t get along).
So we’re starting this campaign to really help Noel with her day to day finances during this insanity. Over the past few months her living expenses have doubled. Because of her weakened immune system, she constantly needs to be in a sterile environment (think disinfecting products, laundry service, grocery services). She needs transportation services to and from the hospital (weekly for the next couple of months then daily for several months to follow). She also needs to be on a strict, clean diet – so no processed foods, dairy or gluten (so basically adding insult to injury).
She basically needs to live like all the tech-bros in her neighborhood but without the inflated salary.
Anyway, as we all know - this is an EXPENSIVE lifestyle – even for people who ARE employed – and every little bit can help. We’re asking that if you have the ability to offer any financial support over the next month or so, it can really go a long away.
Noel is hilarious and talented and (sometimes) smart. She loves to host and bring people together (usually under better circumstances). And yes, I mentioned she was tough – we’re all confident she will triumph – but it takes a special type of strength and courage to ask for help. If you can honor that strength by donating, it would be appreciated more than you know.
All the love - Noel’s Friends and Family
