Noel Laungayan (Spinal Stenosis Surgery)

I am reaching out to make everyone aware that I am kicking off a campaign to help my brother Noel Laungayan and his family. Thank you to everyone that reached out and encouraged me to set this up.  He will need all the support he can get from friends and family.

Many of you have heard of the tremendous misfortunes that have transpired in the last year with my brother and his family.  My nephew (Teeny Noel) was involved in a hunting accident, my sister-in-law (really my sister) Aggie with broken bones to her ankle and leg and now, my brother Noel.  Noel must undergo an urgent spinal surgery to prevent him from becoming paralyzed. There have been multiple setbacks that they have endured since last year; this one literally breaks my heart.

My brother Noel is the hardest working person that you will ever know. He literally works 7 days a week, day and night, and most Holidays. He takes pride in all that he does and is the most respected, loving, and caring person I know. Noel puts everyone before himself and has spent a lifetime making an amazing reputation for himself and his son in the flooring, tiling, and renovation craft. Over the last dozen or so years he started having back and neck issues. He continued to endure those pains because he chose to support his family and has always put others ahead of his own needs as most of you know. After several years he finally went to an orthopedic surgeon and was told that he had herniated discs in his neck and back. Noel went through physical therapy and had cortisone spinal injections. These treatments were only Band-Aids to the real issues and the doctor referred him to a spinal specialist who ultimately told him that he would need surgery to fix his issues. Back then, any type of spinal surgery was a major endeavor and would have incapacitated him for months. Those were months that he could not afford to take off and continued working to make his customers happy and to support his family.  Noel is self-employed and he does not get sick leave, vacation time, or holiday pay. So, he continued to work and kept putting off his pain. Weeks turned to months and the months to years. And now his situation is urgent, and he needs to have this major surgery done to prevent becoming paralyzed.

Noel will be going to Georgetown on Feb 12 for major spinal surgery. He was ordered to stop working immediately by his surgeon and he will be unable to work for quite some time. He will need lots of love, many prayers, and support from all to get through this tough time. Any contributions would be greatly appreciated.  God Bless you all…
