Emergency repatriation of Noel Hunte

In March 2025 our Father Noel had a major ischemic stroke whilst on holiday in Thailand. Sadly the stroke was so severe that 30% of his brain is no longer functioning. He has suffered almost full right side paralysis as well as loss of memory, speech and he cannot physically take care of himself. He has now been in hospital in Thailand for a month at significant cost to the family. Further difficulty was caused by the fact that he regretfully did not have any travel insurance. Despite contacting the British Embassy and anyone we could think of for advice and support, repatriating our Father has not been possible - there is simply no support for his repatriation and without insurance the cost would be upwards of £20,000.

We are therefore looking to repatriate our Father ourselves within the coming days. One or two family members will fly out to Thailand to collect him from the hospital and physically assist him on a flight back to London so he can get the care he needs at home. This will of course be very challenging both physically and emotionally, but we have no other choice. This GoFundMe is to help with the cost of achieving this emergency repatriation.
