My name is Lou Lopez,  my husband of 40 years is Noe Lopez (WHS) and we are trying to raise money to help out with medical expenses plus everyday expenses. Many of our friends and relatives have continued to  ask us how they can be of help and now we are asking for help. Any amount donated will go to medical expenses not covered by insurance. We are also hoping to cover transportation costs to & from doctor appointments, Stroke Specialists, Neurologists, Neurosurgeons, Cardiologists, Pain management doctors,  ENT, Ophthalmologists, Retina Specialists,  Physical, Speech, & Occupational Therapies, also Lighthouse for the blind therapists appointments, not to mention all his medications and any other treatment expenses. Anyone that knows Noe, can testify that he is a loving husband, a devoted father & grandfather and  a brother in Christ & the most loyal of friends. Noe is a very hard working, dedicated  man that has always provided for his family. He has proven himself to be a strong warrior & a "True Miracle of God".May, 2018, Noe had an ear infection that just wouldn't go away with antibiotics  & eardrops.  The ENT sent him in for an MRI, which detected a brain mass or a tumor. The doctors right away started talking about chemo & radiation. We turned to our church family St. Helena and all our friends & family near & far were praying for Noe & our  family.  On August 15, 2018 Noe was admitted to the hospital to have a brain biopsy done because a brain mass was detected.  The team of Neurologists needed to do this very sensitive brain biopsy to find out if the tumor was malignant or benign. The tumor was right in the center affecting the left side & the right side of the brain. The plan was to open up the top of his cranium to do the biopsy. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5Noe was too weak for the biopsy, his potassium & sodium levels were high and the doctors were going to monitor him before the biopsy procedure.  He lost his balance and fell down a couple of times.  While in the hospital he suffered a major heart attack and a mini brain stroke & a major brain stroke. His left side was affected by the stroke. He had a facial droop, his whole left side was weak. His speech, was affected  & he could not hold his head up on his own. He had to learn how to feed himself and learn how to walk again. Noe's health deteriorated, he experienced headaches, neck & shoulder pain, loss of appetite,  nauseated,  he had to have an oxygen mask and he was now stuttering when he spoke. He had to use a walker & a wheelchair. Noe was determined that he was going to beat this. While his hospital stay of 23 days, he had 4 brain MRI's to see if the brain tumor had grown. While in the hospital, his younger sister Sylvia passed away on Sept. 6, 2018. Noe insisted on being discharged to attend the funeral. On Sept. 7th he was discharged from the hospital & we traveled 4 & half hours for the funeral. His older sister Lesvia had passed away the year before in  2017.When we returned back in town, we got the results from the last brain MRI and it didn't show a brain tumor or a brain mass. Poof it was gone! When I asked the Nuerosurgon if it had been a Miracle that the tumor was gone, he pointed up & said, "all I can say is someone is looking Out for you". We always knew, but that was confirmation that God has been with us every step of the way.Noe gained a little weight, he had lost 26 lbs during his hospital stay,  started getting stronger except for the left leg tremors. He was in the ER for chest pains in Jan. 2019, in Mar. & in May.  On June 2019, we had to call an ambulance, Noe suffered his 5th heart attack. He had trouble speaking & breathing & had accumulated fluid in the lungs and a thoracentesis procedure was done. On Sept. 2, 2019, Noe suffered a 3rd brain stroke. He was having chest & left arm pain and the Cardiologists decided to do a catheterization, they took care of the blockage with angioplasty. They repaired a heart artery with a stent, their theory is that when the angioplasty was done a piece of plaque traveled up into his brain and caused the stroke. When Noe was wheeled out of recovery, he was complaining  about his  forehead on the left side was hurting & he described the pain like his eyeball felt like someone was pulling it out of the eye socket. Everyone said it would feel better after the anesthesia wore off, but it wasn't better. The brain stroke affected  part of his brain & Noe's eyes and unfortunately he is now legally blind. The hardest thing for Noe is to lose his eyesight.  From over a year ago, he still has the ear infection.  After a brain tumor that no longer isn't, 5 heart attacks with one being a quintuple bypass and 4 brain strokes, he is a living testimony.  Noe's Cardiologists & doctors, tell him, there are not many people to survive what he has gone through.
