NoBS (NaplesorganizingBahamasSupport)

On September 1, 2019 Hurricane Dorian began to ravage the Northern  Islands of the Bahamas, including Grand Bahama, the Abacos, and many other family islands.  As a Naples, Florida based family, The Hardy's have been visiting the Bahamas for 40 years and have experienced the unending generosity and kindness of the people of these islands.  The universe was talking to us and our hearts listened when the storm hit on the birthday of our dearly departed grandfather and father, Robert Somers Hardy, who loved The Bahamas more than anything. He was a "No BS" kind of man and hence the name for our effort was born - Naples Organizing Bahamas Support.

We feel that it is our duty to our fellow human beings to do whatever we can to lift them up during this devastating time.   The people of the Bahamas are always smiling and community is of upmost importance to them, they always lend a hand to any friend or neighbor in need. As an extended part of their community, we hope to do whatever we can to raise funds that will provide the tools necessary to aid in their recovery. 

We are working with local Bahamian leaders and the Bahamian Chamber of Commerce  to determine how the funds will be spent to best serve them in this time of need.  We are also accepting donations for supplies locally.  Follow us on Facebook (Naples Organizing Bahamas Support) and Instagram (@bahamasstrong) to stay up to date on what else is needed and where to donate.  Any donation, large or small, will make an impact in the life of someone in need.
