Nobody fights alone - especially not Lauri.

Story

Hi Everyone,   I am raising money to help my dear friend, Lauri Haase Sumlin. If you know Lauri, consider yourself blessed. If you don't, let me brag on her a little because it's well deserved. Lauri is not only an amazing person who is able to bring people together through her avid love of racing, but is one of the kindest people you will ever meet raising thousands of dollars for charities through Mazda Corral events and always looking out and caring for others that she doesn’t even know.    Lauri and Marlon are Group Leaders for NASA GreatLakes and primarily spend most of their weekends running with them. At the year end banquet this year, Lauri was very surprised and shocked to be presented with the Hard Luck / Fighter of the Year Award. It's usually presented to someone who's been down on their luck with car trouble, keeps fixing it, it keeps breaking, but they never give up, never stop fighting. Well Jay Andrew, the Regional Director, and the other leadership of the group decided that Lauri was the strongest fighter they knew, so they awarded it to her this year. I'm sure most of us couldn't agree more.   As many of you already know Lauri has been fighting cancer for several years now. She has shown amazing strength and perseverance in her fight but this has come at an incredible cost. She desperately needs our help and support to continue. Cancer is brutal and has robbed her of so much. Please don't let it take anymore from her!! She shouldn't be worrying about trying to make ends meet, or finding another job, but should be spending her time with the comfort of loved ones, enjoying the bright sunshine on her face in the fresh autumn air and most importantly, gathering up the strength to fight as her toughest battle lies ahead.   Please join me in helping Lauri!
