Noble’s Second Chance: Support His Recovery
Donation protected
Noble came to the shelter as a stray and quickly received adoption applications. Sadly, his adopter ignored his medical waiver and never got his injured leg checked. Weeks later, she returned him for an “unprovoked” bite that happened while he was asleep in bed with her—an incident that triggered a euthanasia order.
Thanks to Hayden’s Law, Noble was made rescue-only with strict conditions. Despite his bite, we believe his injury—and lack of treatment—contributed to his behavior. With a “dangerous dog” label, rescuing Noble became extremely difficult. The shelter’s demands placed a heavy financial burden on potential rescues, seeming to sidestep the spirit of the law.
After six days and the efforts of over 20 dedicated strangers coming together to share their resources and connections, Noble was saved—just minutes before he was scheduled to be put down.
The rescue quickly brought Noble to the vet to access his leg. Noble was referred to an Orthopedic specialist with the speculation of torn ligaments or tendons in his right hind leg. The vet also noted a strong heart murmur and recommended an echogram to determine if 3-year-old Noble has DCM, dilated cardiomyopathy. It is predicted that Noble will need extensive treatment and surgery to be able to comfortably walk on his hind leg. He has an Orthopedic Specialist consultation this Monday (May 19th) to discuss options.
All donations will go directly towards Noble's medical expenses and any remaining donations will go to a Promise 4 Paws Rescue, to use for other dog's medical treatment in their care!
Thank you all for your generous support!
