Noah's Journey
Donation protected
The staff members at Bush Elementary want to help our student Noah and his mom, one of our 5th grade teachers here at Bush with the medical expenses for a procedure that take place in March. Even though they have insurance, the deductible is very high and as you know, teachers don't make a lot of money. They are beloved members of the Bush family and we want to help in any way. Please donate as much as you are able. Here is Noah's story...
Noah’s Journey through Achondroplasia and Hydrocephalus
Noah was born in 2011 and at the age of 6 months was diagnosed with Achondroplasia, the most common form of dwarfism. Having dwarfism though, has never slowed Noah down from doing anything he wants. He is a happy, lively child who loves trains, making his mommy smile, wrestling with his brother, playing soccer and no matter what he always has a smile on his face.
Noah has had countless MRIs throughout his young life and was just recently diagnosed with Hydrocephalus. Hydrocephalus is a life-threatening brain condition in which excess amounts of cerebrospinal fluid builds up on the brain which can lead to increasing pressure within the head. There is currently no cure for Hydrocephalus, but there are surgical treatments to help those diagnosed. Noah will be having surgery in March called Endoscopic Third Ventriculostomy to treat his Hydrocephalus. This procedure will create a bypass for the fluid to flow properly throughout the head thus allowing it to be reabsorbed into the bloodstream. To help with medical expenses ……
