Noah's Trans-Formation Surgery Fund (Top-Surgery)

Heyo!

My name is Noah and I am reaching out to you to ask for some help. I am a young university student studying Film and TV. I love skateboarding, dog training, having a Heartstopper obsession, all of the film universe, and I’m dreaming of being a director one day! But there’s something that always weighs me down literally: my chest!. As a transgender guy, I am seeking support to undergo top surgery mid 2025, a crucial step in my journey towards living authentically and comfortably in my body.

For as long as I can remember, I have felt a disconnect between my inner self and my physical appearance. This feeling has affected my mental health, self-esteem and overall well-being. After years of self-discovery and working towards my goals, I have decided to take the next step in my journey.

Why Top Surgery?

When I started Testosterone HRT (hormone replacement therapy), my mum and I noticed an immediate change. I felt like bricks were slowly being taken off me every time I had a voice crack. I began to laugh more, watched my moustache appear and I now feel more at home in spaces other than my own room. My transition has helped me heal in ways I never thought possible and I am only getting started.

Top surgery is not just a physical transformation; it is a life-changing procedure that will allow me to live the rest of my life with confidence and peace. It will alleviate the gender dysphoria caused by my chest, taking off the things that have been loitering on my body since 2017 and ridding the thing that has caused discomfort night and day in my life. With this surgery, I can finally feel at home in my own skin, free from the constant discomfort and anxiety that has held me back.

The Financial Challenge

Unfortunately, top surgery is expensive, and like many gender diverse people, I face financial barriers to accessing this essential healthcare. The total cost of the surgery, including consultations, the procedure itself, post-operative care, and necessary time off work, is beyond my current financial means. I need some help.
