Noah's Surgery: Closing the Gap
Donation protected
After a long process of paperwork, insurance navigation, and planning, I have a confirmed date for top surgery this July. Final insurance approval is expected soon and will cover $26,000 of the total cost — but I still need to raise $3,960.47 to cover the remaining out-of-pocket expenses.
That amount includes:
The portion of the surgical cost not fully covered by insurance
Post-op necessities: incision and scar care supplies, compression vests, and any potential revision costs
Accessible clothing for recovery (such as mastectomy recovery shirts I can safely get on and off without tearing stitches, and for drain management)
Partial reimbursement and rent support for my wonderful sister, who is generously taking time off to help care for me during recovery
I’ve already done everything I can to reduce costs — including selecting the most affordable surgical options available — and I will continue to contribute what I can from my own budget. But as a grad student, I’ve reached the point where I need help closing this final gap.
Any remaining funds, if insurance covers more than expected, will go directly toward recovery-related costs.
If you’re able to contribute, even a little, it will go directly toward making this surgery and recovery possible. Sharing this page also helps immensely. Thank you so much for your support — whether it is financial, emotional, or spiritual.
With gratitude,
