Dear friends and colleagues,
My good friend Noah has recently been diagnosed with stage IIB testicular cancer. After undergoing initial surgery, recent CT scans showed new spread of the cancer. Now, Noah will begin 12 weeks of aggressive chemotherapy starting after Thanksgiving. Noah is one of the most selfless, hardworking, and talented people I know, and while he’s always been the first to help others, he would never ask for assistance himself. That's why we've decided to put this together on his behalf to support him through this difficult time.
Watching his cancer care journey, I find myself deeply disappointed by the flaws of the U.S. healthcare system. Despite our incredible advancements across the cancer care continuum, so many people, including Noah, are still left to navigate a system that burdens them with overwhelming costs and endless obstacles in getting the care they need.
During this Thanksgiving season, we’re asking for your support, if you're able, to ensure that Noah can focus on his speedy recovery without the stress of medical bills as he takes time away from school and work.
Any contribution will be greatly appreciated! Noah has asked that we use any remaining funds, after he pays his own medical bills, to donate to Undue Medical Debt (formerly RIP Medical Debt), a national 501c3 nonprofit whose mission is to strengthen communities by erasing financially burdensome medical debt to ensure a future where everyone can access healthcare without fear.
Thank you for your kind thoughts and generosity,
Emma and Noah’s friends
