My God father, “tío”, Frank Amorim, 38, passed away suddenly, at his home in Newark, NJ, on Tuesday, March 15th, 2022 with his loving family by his side. He was born in Belleville, NJ and was a lifelong resident of the Ironbound Section of Newark.

Beloved son of Manuel Jose and Celeste Barreira (nee Caneja) Amorim; devoted and loving father of Noah Amorim; dear brother of Venuzina “Zina” Fitzhenry and her husband Daniel; cherished grandson of Venuzina Pereira Goncalves Amorim; uncle of Brianna, Bella, Sophia and Ciara Fitzhenry; also survived by many dear uncles, aunts and cousins.

The Funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 22nd, 2022 at 8:30 am at the Buyus Funeral Home 426 Lafayette St., at Wilson Ave., Newark, NJ 07105. Thence to Our Lady of Fatima Church, Newark, where at 9:45 am the Funeral Mass will be offered. Interment Caban Maior, Arcos de Valdevez, Portugal.

The wake for Frank will be held on Monday, March 21st from 5 – 8 pm.

Noah was the greatest blessing of Frank’s life. Noah is currently 4 years old and in lieu of flowers, contributions to Noah’s education fund would be greatly appreciated.
