Adriana y Hernany se conocieron en Venezuela, desde hace 6 años debido a la situación país y otra serie de factores que les ocasionaban temor decidieron emigrar y buscar un mejor futuro en Costa Rica, aunque han pasado momentos difíciles siempre han tenido una visión de futuro y con su trabajo han salido adelante, quienes tienen la dicha de conocerlos saben que siempre están dispuestos a ayudar llenos de energía vibrante. Hace dos años se casaron y el 15 de septiembre de 2022 la vida los bendijo con un pequeño llamado Noah.

Sin embargo, los retos de la vida no se hicieron esperar, durante la visita de Javier hijo mayor de Hernany y ya Adri con 7 meses de embarazo, a Hernany le diagnosticaron un carcinoma epidermoide queratinizante invasor (T2 N0 M0) en el lado izquierdo de la lengua. Cuando te llega una noticia como está a pocos días que tu hijo llegue al mundo, en un país que te recibe como tu segundo hogar, pero donde tus redes de apoyo son reducidas, sin familia alrededor, contando solo con algunas amistades, la incertidumbre, el miedo y la ansiedad se apoderan de ti.

Desde ese momento han vivido entre la felicidad que les trae ser padres y la preocupación del reto de salud por delante. El martes 27 de septiembre operaron a Hernany de emergencia para extraer el tumor, una glándula salival en el piso de la lengua y 5 de los ganglios circundantes de su cuello, lo que hizo que la operación fuera más larga y compleja, la recuperación ha sido un reto y hoy están a la espera del resultado de la biopsia de los ganglios que fueron extraídos, el próximo 10 de noviembre una junta medica les informara el resultado y cuáles serán los pasos a seguir por el equipo médico, afortunadamente la operacion fue exitosa y hasta ahora ha sido atendido en el hospital por lo que ellos han podido llegar con éxito a este punto pudiendo afrontar los costos de los primeros exámenes que llevaron al diagnóstico.

Enfrentar el reto de la operación junto con el nacimiento de Noah es un desafío muy fuerte en todos los aspectos, tanto lo físico, psíquico y emocional, el hecho de no decirle nada a la mama de Hernany hasta después de la operación hace unos días para no asustarla, pues vive sola aun en Venezuela y por otra recuperación total de ambas cirugías (cesárea y extracción del tumor) que amerita reposo por parte de ambos.

Actualmente Adriana y Hernany no están percibiendo ingresos económicos, (solo una base mínima del salario de Adriana) y como es de imaginar han gastado sus ahorros desde el momento que pararon de recibir ingresos, ahora ellos necesitan de nuestro apoyo para poder cubrir sus necesidades básicas (renta ,servicios, crédito del hospital por la cesárea, medicinas y alimentación) y cualquier tratamiento futuro, cualquiera que conozca a esta pareja sabe lo echados para adelante que son, pero hay situaciones en la vida que ponen pruebas difíciles de superar sin la ayuda de otros, por eso necesitan de tu aporte para ayudar a su familia a superar este momento complicado y le darás a Noah y Javier la oportunidad de crecer junto a su padre.

​Adriana and Hernany met in Venezuela 6 years ago, due to the situation in the country and a series of other factors that caused them fear, they decided to emigrate and look for a better future in Costa Rica, although they have had difficult times, they have always had a vision of the future and with their work they have come out ahead, those who have the pleasure of knowing them know that they are always willing to help full of vibrant energy. Two years ago they got married and on September 15, 2022 life blessed them with a little boy named Noah.

​However, the challenges of life did not wait, during the visit of Javier, eldest son of Hernany and Adri, who was 7 months pregnant, Hernany was diagnosed with an invasive keratinizing epidermoid carcinoma (T2 N0 M0) on the left side of the language. When you get news like it's just a few days before your child arrives in the world, in a country that welcomes you as your second home, but where your support networks are small, with no family around, with only a few friends, uncertainty, fear and anxiety take over you.

​Since then they have lived between the happiness tat being parents brings them and the concern of the health challenge ahead. On Tuesday, September 27, Hernany underwent an emergency operation to remove the tumor, a salivary gland on the floor of the tongue and 5 of the surrounding lymph nodes in his neck, which made the operation longer and more complex, recovery has been a challenge and today they are waiting for the result of the biopsy of the lymph nodes that were removed, on November 10 a medical board will inform them of the result and what the steps to be followed by the medical team will be, fortunately, until now it has been treated at the hospital and they have been able to successfully reach this point, being able to afford the costs of the first tests that led to the diagnosis.

​Facing the challenge of the operation together with the birth of Noah is a very strong challenge in all aspects, both physical, mental and emotional, the fact of not saying anything to Hernany's mother until after the operation a few days ago to not to scare her, because she still lives alone in Venezuela and due to another total recovery from both surgeries (cesarean section and removal of the tumor) that requires rest on the part of both.

​Currently Adriana and Hernany are not receiving economic income, (only a minimum base of Adriana's salary) and as you can imagine they have spent their savings from the moment they stopped receiving income, now they need our support to be able to cover their basic needs (rent, utilities, hospital credit for cesarean section, medicines and food) and any future treatment, anyone who knows this couple knows how driven they are, but there are situations in life that pose challenges that are difficult to overcome without the help of others, that's why they need your contribution to help their family get through this difficult time and you will give Noah and Javier the opportunity to grow up with their father.
