Iz is a 23 year old Queer Disabled Australian with an assistance dog named Cobie. Iz lives with severe ME/CFS, ASD and Psychosocial disabilities. Iz and Cobie have to leave their current accomodation by the 30th June but there are no wheelchair accessible refuges to house them. Leaving them homeless on the street.

They are currently at NDIS tribunal trying to get SIL funding so they have support to match their function but have been advised it will take months for an outcome.

Iz and Cobie have no place to go and with Iz’s already deteriorating health, being in unsuitable accomodation is life or death for them.

This fundraiser will pay for 1 month at a local wheelchair accessible accomodation Approx $3104

Freezer (to keep ready made meals) approx: $150

Van to pick up rest of items: approx $150

all additional money will go towards other expenses related to being homeless.

We hope this will buy them enough time to get a wheelchair accessible subsidised rental within their hospital catchment.

This will be the 4th time Iz has been homeless due to failures of the disability/ health/ housing system in Australia.

They fiercely advocate online for disability rights and share their lived experience in hope of helping others in similar situations. But Advocacy and vulnerability do not pay bills or fix broken services.
