No Wall in South Texas

We are activists, ranchers, students, and environmentalists in Laredo, Texas, fighting against Trump's border wall in Webb and Zapata Counties. We're organized as the No Border Wall Coalition (NBWC) , the Rio Grande Landowners Coalition (RGLC), and the Rio Grande International Studies Center (RGISC). Laredo has succesfully fought off Trump's (and Abbott's) border wall since 2020, while organized and working under our banners. We know what it takes to beat Trump, we’re ready to do it again, and we're asking you to join us. We need your financial support.

Trump is back with a vengeance. His plans include major wall and surveillance infrastructure along the Rio Grande River, which will devastate our environment and strangle much of our native wildlife. The wall will wind through urban barrios in Laredo, colonias in El Cenizo and Rio Bravo, and historic locations like San Ygnacio. According to preliminary geomorphic studies conducted by hydrologist-engineers at FlowWest in San Francisco, the wall will dramatically impede the River's flow during high-rain events, causing devastating flooding in densely populated areas. The preliminary study is appended below.

We will again stop Trump's heavy hand - with your help - because we are "El Pueblo Unido". Our great strength is that our lands are all privately owned by true Texan land stewards who have guarded our patrimony for centuries - and we are organized. Trump will have to take these lands against our will and against all of our efforts to build his wall.

The RGLC has mobilized mass resistance from landowners in Webb and Zapata Counties to stop the takings of our lands, including organizational, informational, and legal support. An example of the organizing and legal work of the RGLC is appended below.

Trump is meeting his match on the Streets of Laredo, and in our courts. Landowners in Webb and Zapata counties are resisting the taking of their lands. From a homeowner in a Laredo barrio to a cattle rancher in Zapata County - massed and united together as an iron fist - our landowners are joining our communities in fighting back.

Funds raised will be received by RGISC, our 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor. Your contribution will help support the legal defense of more than 100 members of the RGLC fighting federal takings of their lands in court; sponsor organizing activities of the NBWC aimed at engaging our residents and local leadership in fighting Trump's dangerous wall construction which places our very lives at risk; and underwrite the commission by the RGISC of more detailed geomorphology studies pointing out the devastating flooding effects of the wall on densely populated urban barrios and vulnerable colonias along the Rio Grande River.

We beat Trump on his wall plans five years ago, keeping the Rio Grande River free and the border beautiful and safe. We can do it again — but not without patriots like yourself collaborating with our community defiance.

Thank you for standing with the borderlands.
