No Viking Fights Alone

Family, Friends and Surrounding Community,

Pleasant Valley High School sophomore, Tate Hampton, was recently diagnosed with a rare cancer that is a type of soft-tissue sarcoma. With about 20 identified cases each year, only a handful of hospitals in the country specialize in the specific kind of treatment Tate needs. He and his family will be taking multiple trips to Stanford and the University of North Carolina to ensure he receives the very best treatment available.

As many of you know, Tate is active in multiple sports including Lacrosse, Football, and Swim. He achieved his varsity letter in swim last year as a Freshman and was a member of this year's undefeated JV football team.

His parents are well-known in the local community for their continued dedication to our youth as teachers, coaches, and mentors. Teresa Doyle, Tate’s Mom, is a Chico State graduate who has taught at Bidwell Junior High and Chico High, Shasta College, and now works at Butte College. His older sister, Hannah, is a student at Butte College. His stepfather, Patrick Doyle, works in the College of Agriculture at CSU, Chico.  His father, Hunter Hampton, is the former General Manager of the Chico Heat. They have dedicated their careers to this community and now they need our help.
