Hello, my name is Andy. I am a snowcat operator at a local ski area, and have been a resident of Summit County, Colorado for 20 years. I am also an artist, have worked with local nonprofit organizations, volunteer, and been a community representative for many years.

Due to the lack of snowfall and business this season, I, like many others, have fallen on hard financial times. Budgeting and hiring freezes have been put in place due to these conditions, and finding more work has been a slow process. Concurrently, mortgage and HOA rates are rising, bills need to be paid, and people must survive.

At this time, I am asking for help from the ski and snowboard community, as well as the community at large. Unfortunately, snowcat operations are dependent on weather and snowfall, and we are amidst the worst winter season Colorado has seen in decades. Until we start seeing more snowfall, labor budgeting will continue, and financial stress will remain. Your donations will help to alleviate that stress, and keep a local, working class resident in place in an area where so many have been pushed out.

In addition to asking for donations, as an artist, I am also opening my books for canvas and design commissions, and will be putting finished artwork up for sale through my Instagram page (@haoleweird).
