A life well lived.

"It is not the quantity of the days in the life you live, but the quality of those days lived"

These words epitomize the life of my friend, Ade Ayodele. 

Ade and I met in 2011 while working for the Cleveland Cavaliers. We hit it off right away and built a lasting friendship. 

He was kind, disciplined, and loving, among many other wonderful things.  He had an innate ability to create and foster meaningful relationships with just about anyone he met. He was completely devoted to his family and friends - always there with a kind word or gesture in a loved one's time of need. His positive attitude and outlook on life was admirable. Something I aspire to everyday. 

Unfortunately, Ade lost his battle with Cancer this past June.  

In one small act to honor Ade, I will be participating in "No-Shave November"

My goal is to raise awareness about how we all can make a difference in the fight against cancer, with the hopes that one day this will be a disease of the past. 

All funds raised will be donated to the Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research in Ade's memory. 

I feel blessed to have known Ade and I hope we can all continue to grow his legacy by giving back in his honor.
