Hi, I am Nahil the mum of two beautiful children Hanaa Mohammed Al Jabour who is 4 years old. Yazan who is 13 years of age. They are in desperate need for food, they are only eating once per day if this.

Our Story — Please Help

Two months after the war started, we were forced to flee to Rafah. Those days were filled with fear, exhaustion, and heartbreak. We had

no access to clean water — sometimes the only water we had was polluted, but we had no choice. We were just trying to survive.

When we finally returned to our home, our hearts broke all over again. A shell had hit the house. It was destroyed. Everything we knew was gone. The whole area had been flattened — most homes reduced to rubble. It was like living in a ghost town. There was no one left to help. We had to walk over a kilometre every day just to find water for drinking and washing.

Then it happened again.

We were displaced for the second time, this time to Al-Qarara, after Israeli forces entered our area. But we had no shelter. We made the terrifying decision to go back to our destroyed home, even though it meant risking our lives. Thankfully, the forces withdrew a day later — a small mercy in the middle of so much chaos.

This was our third displacement. We returned once more to Al-Qarara, and finally, by God’s grace, we found a place to stay near each other.

We didn’t think to take photos before. We were just trying to survive. But now we are starting to document everything — to show our struggle, our pain, and our daily fight to live with dignity. Because even now, the suffering continues. Nothing has changed.
