A SCAD MFA Graduate Thesis, performed by Babak Akavan and Jules O'Toole.

No Room for a Picture on the Blank Wall, by David Remschel is a theatrical play discussing the heavy themes and topics of family, love, and loss.
This production tells the story of a successful photographer in his late 60s, Peter Bunther, starting to feel the effects of his ever-growing form dementia. It is a hard pill for him and his wife, Rosemary, to swallow, and throughout the story, the couple try to work together to prevent it. The way the play presents dementia in action, to the audience, is through two home mover characters. They are from the Memory Removal department, and their job, during the run of the show, is to remove props, furniture, and gradually the entirety of the set. Leaving Peter alone, having forgotten everything.

With this production, we aim to provide a safe space for audiences to spread awareness, experience togetherness, and leave them with the core value of cherishing the moments you experience in life. This full student led production, will also act as the first regional performance of the piece, brining along with it, a story never before seen by SCAD audiences.
