Dear Friends,

Haiti was struck by a magnitude 7.2 earthquake on August 14th 2021. The areas of Les Cayes and Southern Haiti were most affected with so far a death toll of over 2100 and more than 136,800 houses and buildings damaged or destroyed. Tropical Storm Grace pounded Haiti soon after. Rescue teams continue to search the rubble for survivors and many thousands of people have no shelter. Now, several days on, the risk of disease grows higher and the urgency for medical care, clean water, food, shelter, and sanitation grows.

We are fundraising to donate to two organizations who are doing incredible work in the earthquake zone. Perhaps you have already made a donation or perhaps you have not been sure how best to help. After careful consideration LGCCA and ASHOG chose Hope For Haiti and HERO Rescue because of their extensive local knowledge, transparency and complete dedication to the Haitian people.
