We are two sisters with a neuromuscular disorder reaching out to you today to ask for your help. Throughout the past years, we‘ve experienced a significant financial burden, and are struggling to make ends meet. We are now facing a crisis that we cannot overcome without your support.
This life journey we’ve been given is not an easy one financially. Costs incurred for home care support, medical equipment, medications, etc. (all of which are not fully covered by government) have depleted all our savings, maxed our credit cards and our line of credit. We even had to sell our wheelchair van because we could not afford the insurance.
We have tried everything we can think of to get back on our feet, but nothing has worked. We have applied for government assistance, but the process is slow, and we are running out of time. We have reached out to family and friends, but they are unable to help us financially.
That is why we are turning to you, our community, for help. We have set up a GoFundMe page to raise funds to help us financially. We are not asking for a handout, but rather a helping hand to get us through this difficult time.
