Hello, my name is Chantell Elliott and I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read my mother's story. Recently my mom was blindsided by what should have been a routine checkup that turned for the worst, being diagnosed with breast cancer.
In early May my 53 year old resilient, beautiful, and strong mother, Andrea Jeter was told she had stage 3 breast cancer that had spread fast and straight to her lymph nodes. Immediately this was a shock to our entire family especially considering she got check-ups yearly. As I and my other family members went too her appointments with her we quickly were told by the Mammoth Hospital care team how fast her cancer was growing and how quickly and strong we needed to fight it. Unfortunately with that being said the best possible treatment facility for my mom to go too is almost 4 hours south of home. So, not only does she have to deal with the stresses of breast cancer treatment, but she will now have to drive over 2,000 miles just to get treated.
As my mom now has to embark on this new lifestyle she was not prepared for, it is more important than ever we as a family stand by her and support her through every step of the way. You see, my mother is not just a mother to us 4 children, she is a wife, a grandmother, a daughter, sister, dog mom, friend, and cared for anybody we brought into our life just as her own. My mother would go above and beyond for her loved ones, and we as a family intend on doing just that for her.
My goal today is to not only raise money to help with treatment funds, but to also show her how many people in and around our community are on her team. Any funds that will be donated are going directly to the treatment and cost of travel. This is hard for me to even wright, and has been a huge bump in our family, but we will not let this stop the fight.
Please share, donate, or send a prayer for her and our family. We love you mom!
