On Sunday, May 18th, Stanley was enjoying a much-needed day off from work in the warm weather next to the pool. Later on, a friend of his joined him, so he grabbed a bottle of prosecco and a bottle of whiskey for them to share. As he came back to the pool, three women began heckling Stanley because they noticed the bottle of whiskey was above top shelf. The day turned to evening, and those three women began accusing Stanley of breaking one of their phones and were now threatening to call the police on him if he didn't pay them $200. A few words were exchanged, and Stanley gathered his belongings to go back home. As he was walking up the hallway, one of the women ran after him. He begged them to leave him alone. They kept him there until the police arrived. Upon Harris County police arrival, they were only interested in Stanley’s immigration status. They handcuffed him and took him to the Harris County police station barefoot and only wearing a Speedo! Stanley was in police custody for two days until they transferred him over to I.C.E. at the Montgomery Processing Center in Conroe, Texas. Stanley is still in custody, terrified, and uncertain of what will happen next.

Stanley has no criminal record. He’s a hardworking, kind, gentle, loving, and generous man. He needs to be back home with his two cats and his husband. He wants to get back to work cutting hair and doing what he does best… making other people look and feel good about themselves.

He has emptied out his bank account to pay his attorney, leaving him with no money to pay for his bond, rent, car payment, and utilities.
