Roxanne & Boomy Rivera Lopes- No one fights alone!

Aloha all,

My name is Tiffany, and with my dad, Harry "Boomy", we are reaching out to ask for your help to support my mom, Roxy, in her courageous battle against cancer. Mom began her fight against cancer in 2021 when she was diagnosed with plasmacytoma, in which a tumor caused her T2 vertebrae to explode. She underwent surgery to remove the tumor and had her vertebrae restored with two rods. Sadly, in 2024, she received an official diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma.

Multiple Myeloma (MM) is a relentless blood cancer originating in the bone marrow, known for its impact on the immune system. While incurable, ongoing treatments offer hope and vital support. Just under 36,000 people in the US are diagnosed with MM each year, and approximately 170,000 people are living with it.

Our goal with this fundraiser is to alleviate the financial strain of Mom’s ongoing medical expenses. We are focused on supporting her through crucial treatments, including a stem cell transplant planned at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle. Donations will cover essential expenses like transportation, three months of living and food costs, and medical bills. Despite careful planning, unforeseen infections or treatment delays may necessitate a longer stay.
