Hello, we are Yohtaro and Aritomo, high school students aiming to spread awareness of the dangers and impact of nuclear weapons. With our donations, we will purchase copies of children's books such as “Hiroshima No Pika” by Maruki Toshi, that describe the experience of the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima, and donate them to schools and public library systems in New York. Our ultimate goal is to create an accessible way for children to be educated on the catastrophic humanitarian consequences of the use of nuclear weapons. This would be a step forward in preventing them from being used in the future. The donations we do not use will go to organizations such as ICAN (The International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons) which work on nuclear nonproliferation.
