Hello there, my producer name is "Mad Random". I'm a former production technician at a coffee facility that's been trying to land a new job, and has been unsuccessful since Mid-April 2025. While applying for new jobs around the area, I've gotten back into making music for the first time in over a decade, using only an iPad. While it's a great device to use for my music, there are several drawbacks. The first being support with the app I'm using. (No further updates since 2018, and it still suffers crashes). Second, limited on file space. Finally, I don't have added equipment to create a better sound with my music. (So some songs feel a bit flat). The Akai MPC Live 3 has been all the rage in the music world since its launch, but it's pretty pricey. I wouldn't make an irrational decision in using my remaining severance funds on it while awaiting (and hoping) for a job offer. So if funded, I would be able make better quality music, and potentially take on commissions with other indie artists, pitch to game developers, film studios, or even media personalities.
