Hi there. I would like to introduce you to a sanctuary i follow, called Love Lions Alive Sanctuary NPC in South Africa. An ethical sanctuary for big cats that have been mistreated previously by humans and cannot be reintroduced back to the wild. Founded by Andi Rive ten years ago whose passion and dedication to big cats shines out. I am not alone in thinking that Andi is amazing, inspirational, humbling and a great role model for others. The sanctuary aids the big cats gain some dignity back to be themselves.

I have been following LLA for about nine years and donating too when possible. It costs to volunteer and this goes towards the up keep etc. I have now volunteered twice and will be back in Sept '26. I came to aid Andi in any way i can. eg. helped mend a small fence, cleaned out water pools, etc. Ive gained some knowledge about big cats and what is needed to support them. I have a great passion in supporting the Voice Less. To help in any tiny way here means so much to me big time. Volunteering there really helps the site and trust me you will benefit too from helping out. Lovely volunteer house set down from the mountain side. Hear the local birds calling. Just fab.

I came back home and thought what can i do to help raise some money to support this sanctuary and Andi. Running costs don't stop: rental of land its on, insurance, team wages, pumps to supply water, enclosure maintenance, new tools, supplements for the lions to aid physical recovery, solar panels, keep site jeeps working .. list goes on. Andi gives 100% and only right gets some income too. Without Andi this sanctuary wouldn't exist. Without out Andi these big cats would not have a quiet, safe haven to live in. Animals need other animals, they have emotions too. To have company, to chase around, cuddle up in companionship, gain some dignity, just be themselves as a big cat. Rub up against bushes, climb rocks, vocalise and mentally recharge.

Wildlife needs our support and protection. What some humans do to it for self gratification is just heart breaking!! Doing nothing then is not an option. Don't know about Canned Hunting then look it up. Some of the lions here were rescued from it. I would appreciate what ever you can do to please help this sanctuary and Andi. Take a look at the designs for my project i have initiated, to buy in aid of the big cats. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
