Between War and Dreams — I Am Just a Human Being Searching for a Chance to Survive

My name is Rami Al-Tawil, a young Palestinian from the Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza.

I was born into hardship — and raised under the roar of airstrikes.

I’ve lived through seven wars. Each one stole a piece of my childhood.

But this last war… it didn’t just take my childhood — it destroyed my future.

I was studying dentistry.

I dreamed of becoming a doctor — to heal the wounded, to ease the pain, to serve my people with dignity.

But the war reduced my university to rubble. It leveled our home.

It crushed everything I had worked so hard for.

I was forced to flee to Egypt — alone.

My family was left behind in Gaza.

My heart shattered watching them get evacuated — especially my little sister, who is sick and in desperate need of care.

Now, I live in complete uncertainty.

I have no support, no income, no safety.

My brother is still trapped in Gaza… no home, no electricity, barely any food.

We’ve lost everything — except hope.

Today, I’m reaching out — not just for myself, but for my family.

From one human being to another: please help.

I am a 20-year-old Palestinian from the Nuseirat refugee camp in the Gaza Strip. I was a dentistry student at Al-Azhar University in Gaza before the war in October 2023 destroyed both my university and my home.

Who I'm supporting

I am raising funds for myself and my immediate family, who are currently displaced due to the war.

My younger brother, Mohammed Al-Tawil, is still in Gaza, without a home or basic necessities.

My parents and my sick younger sister, Aya Al-Tawil, were forcibly evacuated and are also displaced.

We are not affiliated with any organization or group. I am simply a young man trying to survive and support my family during this humanitarian crisis.

How the funds will be used

Funds raised will be used for the following purposes:

Housing and rent for my displaced family.

Medical care for my sick sister.

Basic needs such as food, clothing, hygiene products, and electricity.

Continuing my education so I can rebuild my future as a dentist and one day return to help others in Gaza.

How I will deliver the funds

I am currently in Egypt, and my family members are spread between Gaza and areas of temporary refuge.

Funds will be used directly by me to cover our living expenses here and to send support to my brother still in Gaza through trusted family members or money transfer services such as Western Union. I am committed to full transparency and can provide updates to donors regarding how the funds are spent.
