Trans Electrolysis: Hair down there & up here
Donation protected
Hello, I'm a trans woman.
It's going pretty alright. Some days can be powerfully difficult but as of late things have been turning up for me! I've been on hrt for almost 11 years and have a nice community of friends all around.
In June I'm going to have a consult for facial feminization surgery (ffs) & gender-affirming surgery (gas). It's exciting. I never thought I'd be this close. In 2020 I pursued the same thing with it needing to be delayed due to the necessary lockdown caused by COVID.
These surgeries will allow me to move through the world in a safer way. I will feel more comfortable in my body & have a life worth living.
Being placed on the list requires that I start this process. In the coming days I will be contacting hair removal experts & asking for estimates on time & cost.
These aren't easy to create and harder to share. This is something I've wanted since I learned it was a thing. I'd been encouraged when I originally shared the devastation I felt learning that electrolysis is not covered by insurance. Typical of capitalism to not cover procedures necessary for surgery. These funds will help me with removing hair, will help me access anything required for recovery & avoid any debt that might otherwise be incurred.
Instead of allowing myself to procrastinate I'm posting this now. It will act as accountability. Contact me if you have any questions. Thank you for reading.
