Passport School has a Thirst for Knowledge!

The recent pandemic has made a major impact on the world, but Passport School is UNSTOPPABLE!! Our K-8 students skipped off to Spring Break last March and weren’t able to return to their school until this August. Our students have persevered and embraced the new norm, even with all the new guidelines, safety measures, and educational process. School to children is a safe haven, a place for lifelong friendships, a place to feel appreciated, a place to feel important, and so much more.
Passport students entered their school in August with new features. No, the school was not remodeled or painted. Our kindergarten through 8th grade students arrived to temperature checks, everyone wearing masks, limited classmates, hand sanitizing stations, standing marks on the floor, no high fives, and to top this all off…no access to water fountains!
We have requested that every face to face student will a water bottle every day. This seems like a reasonable solution…little did we realize how thirsty our students are throughout the day. Now add the fact that we live in Florida and even though we are only allowing students outside for a quick PE class those water bottles are emptied quick. Since we have to follow the CDC guidelines, we aren’t able to let our thirsty students refill their water bottle.
The staff of Passport School put our heads together and came up with a solution to our drinking water shortage: a water bottle filling station. Great solution but with all the added expenses relating to health/safety and educational technology necessities-we need your help!!!! Our hope is to install one water bottle filling station downstairs for our primary students to enjoy and one installed upstairs to be utilized by our intermediate/middle school students.
The installation of these water bottle stations would have a positive impact on our students and assist our teachers! Please help our thirsty students quench their thirst so that they can be healthy and ready for everyday school life.
