No Distractions - Kelli’s Medical Fund

Kelli is currently hospitalized in San Diego, CA. On Friday, September 30, Kelli underwent major abdominal surgery and suffered from bleeding while in the OR. The bleeding caused clotting and developed into an abscess. Several procedures have been implemented to correct the complications and she remains in the California hospital until the abscess resolves through decompression via an interventional radiology tube that was placed October 3. Blood transfusions are pending due to hemoglobin fluctuations and she is currently a bleeding risk determined from coagulation studies.

 For those of you who know Kelli, she is extremely kind hearted and compassionate towards her patients while working as an Emergency Department Travel Nurse. She is always determined to go out of her way to do anything and everything for the people around her. She’s a real firecracker with the brightest, most sarcastic sense of humor. She’s been part of the Pratt, KS community for almost 30 years, and also making guest star appearances behind the bar at The Golden Q in Hays, KS for more than 6 years as a bartender. She loves her fur babies Nyle and Koena.

 There’s an incredible amount of support and love for Kelli by all of her friends and family, but we know it takes a team effort. We want Kelli to be able to focus on her healing and recovery.

 Kelli is following the words of her late brother, Drake, “No Distractions.”  There are no distractions from the road to healing, and Kelli is staying focused on each day and each obstacle it may entail.
