NO CONCRETE BATCH PLANT in Alto, New Mexico
Donation protected
Help us fight a concrete batch plant proposed by Roper Construction to be built in our neighborhood!!!!
We are a small village high in the mountains of New Mexico known for clean air, unspoiled mountain views and numerous wildlife including herds of wild mustangs and elk, brown bears, bobcats, fox, mountain lions and flocks of wild turkeys. We are working to maintain a clean, safe, and natural environment.
This proposed concrete batch plant location is adjacent to the White Mountain Wilderness Area as well as numerous rural neighborhoods and a school & camp and right on the Billy the Kid Scenic Byway!
In addition to air pollution, noise pollution, light pollution, traffic congestion, this plant is expected to utilize 18 MILLION gallons of water a year. Most residents rely on private wells for water which could be impacted by this greedy use of water.
All funds raised here will go to our legal defense fund fighting contamination of our environment, water supply, homes and the habitat of our wildlife.
