Environmental Defense of Georgia (EDOG) has been formed since June 2021, as a grass roots organization, made up of family farmers and concerned citizens primarily from North Georgia. Our organization wants to help defend local farmers' rights to grow healthy food for Georgia and the world. We also want to protect the environment and legal rights of the citizens who live in our communities. North Georgia is one of the leading regions of the United States of America for poultry production.
We wish to serve our communities by coming along side local government and state agencies, while still serving local poultry growers and the multi national corporations who grow chickens in North Georgia. EDOG will assist them to be proactive to stop unplanned and unregulated CAFOs (Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations) and industrial chicken sprawl.
The funds raised will help pay for attorney fees, and also legal consulting fees from environmental impact studies, traffic impact reports, and property value loss assessments. To see some of the first written reports already put together, visit www.edog.site to download information. With your immediate financial support, more in-depth studies can be done to protect our communities and environments.
