15 minutes from the gorgeous homes in La Quinta, about 200 mostly loose, some "owned" dogs and maybe 150 more loose cats live outdoors 100% of the time, including up to 120 degrees summers in filthy conditions in a trailer park in Thermal.

These dogs (and cats), through no fault of their own, live and with, and not infrequently die of ...

* tick infestations and life-threatening tick-borne blood infections...

* horrendous skin problems and infections due to living on hard dirt,

including mange, a miserable, ongoing skin condition

* multiple intestinal parasites causing swollen bellies, skinny extremities,

bloody diarrhea and starvation

* the water there has naturally occurring arsenic

We are raising funds because vet bills are our greatest challenge. We try to help stop suffering plus to get dogs well enough to be fostered or adopted when fosters or adopters are available.
