I have been paying off a car for the last few years with a former friend. On October 10th, I received a letter from them stating that I need to pay off the entire rest of the car payment within 30 days, or else I have to return the car to them.

I use my car to get to and from work every day and I use it to travel to various paid gigs I perform in out of town. I cannot live without a vehicle. I have been making payments on the car, so I don't know why they're asking for it all upfront, but I would rather pay it off and not have to deal with them escalating the situation further.

I live paycheck to paycheck with barely enough to put what's left over into my art. With my current income and my bills, it is not possible for me to afford the rest of the payment, so I feel like I am trapped in this situation.
